Our operations team is second to none when it comes to accuracy. We have a multistage review process to ensure that our transcripts and captions have an accuracy of 99% plus. Every file we deliver has a link where you can rate the accuracy on a 1 to 5 scale. If you give us a 5, the appropriate worker receives a bonus. It doesn’t happen often, but if you give us a 3 or lower, we take it very seriously. We’ll immediately re-review the job, provide you a corrected version, and take appropriate steps with the responsible worker.

State-of-the-Art Technology Platform

Although our transcription, captioning and proofreading is always done by real people, we use sophisticated server software to enhance efficiency through automated workflow management, web-based transcription and captioning consoles, quality assurance tools, and workforce tools to manage training, qualification, and ratings. We have an API that allows customers to automate file submission and delivery through server-to-server integration. We also have a number of prebuilt integrations to common platforms, such as Brightcove, Kaltura, Aspera, podcast feeds (RSS, MRSS, etc.), and FTP.

We are constantly monitoring advances in automated speech recognition technology. Although the accuracy is currently unacceptable for transcription, we believe it will soon be good enough to assist humans in producing high quality transcripts. We already use it today for automated time synchronization of captions. We also use advanced algorithms to automatically group captions based on a set of complex rules that can be customized per customer.
