Adding SRTs and Descriptions To YouTube Videos

SRT, or SubRIP Text, is a very common subtitle/caption format. Here are the steps to add your Speechpad written captions to your content.
YouTube – Adding Description and Keywords
– Login to your YouTube.com account
– Go to Video Manager
– Edit the video in question
– Title: Add the title for the video if not already added
– Description: Add the abstract Speechpad created for you
– Add the Tags (these are the keywords for the video)
YouTube – Adding SRT Subtitles
– Login to your YouTube.com account
– Go to Video Manager
– Edit the video in question
– Click Captions (toward upper middle part of screen)
– Click Add a new track
– Click Upload Caption File or Transcript
– Upload the SRT file containing the subtitles
If for any reason you need to merge your SRT file into your MP4 video:
– There are a number of tools for this but one tool you can use is Wondershare Video Converter
– Load the original MP4, choose the SRT file and then click Convert
– The resulting MP4 will have the subtitles embedded
